It has an opening for aRailcar Mechanicat its Catoosa, OK location. The position conducts all aspects of railcar repair and maintenance, and maintains customer relationships.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance and performing repairs as necessary
Ensuring all necessary invoicing, inspection and work order information is complete in order to facilitate correct and timely customer billing
Maintaining all certifications, including tank car welding, completing and maintaining appropriate certifications, demonstrating strong familiarity with Association of American of Railroads (AAR) rules and regulations
Being sensitive to customer demands and flexible in work hours
Demonstrating good leadership and team skills
Demonstrating familiarity with inventory management
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) or flux-cored arc welding (FCAW)
Broad mechanical aptitude
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions
Ability to learn or have background in repair, cleaning and painting of all car types
Understand AAR interchange rules
Inspection experience
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
Required qualifications include:
Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred)
High school diploma or GED
