Responsible for laying out and cutting various sizes and shapes of plate, structure and pipe.
Layout and cutting various sizes and shapes of plate and structure.
Cut and bevel pipe and structural members to correct dimensions.
Determine radius and angles to ensure correct dimension and fit.
Prepare and maintain records of work performed and transfer of heat numbers as required by the A.S.M.E. Code.
Tag cut materials with identification numbers.
Follow LPP safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
Instruct and direct others as required.
Two years applicable layout/burning experience.
Perform layout/saw/burning assignments with minimal supervision.
Read and interpret drawings.
Locate and identify carbon steel and alloy materials.
Operate grinder and overhead crane.
Use of radial arm, ironworker, manual and automatic burning equipment.
Must perform in a professional manner as a member of a team, as well as a team leader, to give inputs on activities that will help complete project assignments in a timely and efficient manner, while upholding the quality and safety standards.
